Used to erase an area of the active image using another area from the same image. The erase area is “pasted” over the area to erase using standard techniques to blend the edges (seam and color) so that it seamlessly appears as it was truly on the image to begin with.

The blending technique consists of a feathering on the seam (edges) along with a color blend on the feathered seam based on the nearby colors.
